Track Your Content KPIs. The best way to measure the effectiveness of your content marketing plan is by tracking a number of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Instead of focusing on the subjective value of content, track the objective results of producing and publishing that content.
Externally, track the amount of organic traffic that originates on those specific landing pages. And, track the number and rank of new keywords for which your website shows up on Google’s organic search results.
Internally, track the number of pageviews you get on these new pages, inclusive of repeat site visitors who may click through and read from the homepage or other pages. Measure the average time spent on each page of content. And, count the number of new leads and subscriptions generated by each new page. Then, take these results and use them to make informed decisions about new content that you plan to create.
